A must-drive scenic tour

I honestly can't figure out why, but I'd never been through Salt River Canyon before. I've lived here a total of 16 years, and this was my first drive through this canyon. My boyfriend described it as a miniature Grand Canyon. I thought parts of it reminded me of riding Disneyland's Big Thunder Railroad. We also drove past one of my dad's favorite haunts, Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Fire danger was extreme wherever we drove on Monday and almost every single campground was shut down.
